Judith Bader Jones, born in Little
Falls, NY, spent her formative years on a farm in the Missouri
boot heel. She attended Southeast Missouri University and The
University of Missouri in Columbia, and worked as an R.N. in
psychiatry before she devoted herself to free lance writing.
Her poems, short stories, and essays have been published by
literary and commercial publications such as, Art Times, Buffalo
Spree, Potpourri, The Same, Explorations, Thorny Locust,
Imagine, Jordan Creek Anthology, Beginning from the Middle,
Chocolate for a Lover’s Heart, and The Light in Ordinary Things.
She is a founding board member of Whispering Prairie Press. Her
photographs have appeared in Gallery 92, the eighth annual
juried Kaw Valley Arts and Humanities Art Show, and Muse Gallery
in Kansas City, Missouri. The Poetry Half-Hour, Kansas Audio
Reader Network, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, has
broadcast selections from her poetry. She served as a poetry
editor for Kansas City Voices from 2000-2008, and her collection
of short fiction, Delta Pearls received The William Rockhill
Nelson 2007 Fiction Award. Jones is at home in Fairway, Kansas
with her husband, her garden and an occasional stray cat.
